Hi, we've just joined the site today. Only had our motorhome a few weeks and had our first trip this weekend. We intend to 'do' France, Spain and Portugal during the coming months so any advice you can pass on re stopovers such as Aires would be greatly appreciated.

hi john, we go to france a week tomorrow and will be back home on the 30th of may. we have been to france on a number of occasions with the caravan booking on campsites for a week at a time.
but with a motorhome it will be much different. no bookings and a moving on holiday.
so my advice would be to purchase a book showing all the aires i france,
this is from , www.vicariousbooks.co.uk this gives you 2100 sites with all the information and photos.
also the camping card acsi from the camping and caravanning club.
this will give you all the information and photos of over a thousand camp sites in france.
then use google earth to look at any site that you wish to stay at.
its all good fun. regards, pete
