American RVer coming to Europe 7 Years ago
Hello everyone,

I have an RV in the US, but want to get a smaller rig to share with our Son who lives outside of Paris. I am debating buying another US rig (prepared for Europe) and shipping it to France versus buying a Euopean rig. Does anyone have any advice on where to buy, prices, etc. for a 24 foot rig with a diesel (Mercedes?) engine?

I plan on coming to the Paris RV show next week to research the purchase but would love some guidance from the group.

Thanks in advance for your help.

if it was cheaper to buy a one in teh U.S and ship it over then its a good idea but you have to becareful of european roads and they are quite narrow.

Morgan,

Thanks for the post. I have driven the narrow, winding roads of Europe which is why I don't think a Big rig like I have in the US is advisable. I am wondering what new 24 foot or so rigs are going for in Europe with the weak dollar. It just might be worth it to buy one here and ship it to France. I know of several Europeans that have bought US rigs and toured the US before shipping them home.
